Tax & Bookkeeping for Real Estate Agents

Stop guessing at tax time.

I'm Jim Martin, a CPA with over 25 years of public practice experience. I work almost exclusively with real estate agents and self-employed professionals — so the deductions, the S-Corp rules, and the deadlines that trip other agents up are exactly what I handle every day.

Practical, hands-on, stress-free.

I've worked with real estate agents long enough to know what throws them off track: missed deductions, tax bills that show up as a surprise, and S-Corp rules that get set up wrong from the start. Commission income doesn't file like a paycheck, and generic tax advice doesn't hold up against it.

I won't just file your taxes or clean up your books — I'll explain the why behind the numbers, so you're never just handing off a folder of receipts and hoping for the best.

My background runs from public accounting to running my own practice, and today that experience is focused on one thing: real estate agents and self-employed professionals who want a CPA who actually understands how their income works.

Bookkeeping software + your time $35–55/mo
Payroll service (Gusto, etc.) $49/mo
DIY tax software at year-end $100–200/yr

Questions about pricing

Why isn't my personal return included in S-Corp Complete?

Business and personal returns are priced separately so the monthly plans stay focused on what happens all year — bookkeeping, payroll, and estimated taxes. Your personal (1040) return is billed at the Tax Only rate, starting at $525, and I'll always quote it before I start.

Can I start with Tax Only and move up later?

Yes. Most agents start with a single return so we can see your numbers clearly, then move into Bookkeeping, S-Corp Complete, or Rentals & Multi-Income once it's clear where the savings are. There's no penalty for starting small.

Why doesn't Rentals & Multi-Income show a price?

Rental properties, side businesses, and multiple income sources vary too much to price with a flat number. On our call, I'll look at what you've got — how many properties, how many income streams, how many states — and give you a firm quote before any work begins.

What if my return is more complex than average?

The $525 starting price covers a typical self-employed agent return. Multiple properties, multiple states, or a more complex entity structure can move the price up — I'll always give you a firm quote before any work begins, never a surprise bill.

Is there a contract?

No long-term contract on either monthly plan. We work month to month, and you can move between plans as your business changes.
